Job Details
Bat Flip Baseball is a small facility with two full batting cages and additional training space. Guests come for fun and to train for baseball or softball. As a Batting Cage Attendant, you will greet guests, schedule appointments, keep the facility clean, set up machines and help with equipment when needed.
$10 per hour + facility use benefits
Job Type: Part-time
Minimum Qualifications: Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Previous experience or knowledge of baseball or softball is helpful, but not required.

Job Description
General Purpose
Under owners’ supervision, the Batting Cage Attendant will carry out the assigned duties as specified for the batting cages. Provides supervision of the facility as assigned. Primarily responsible for serving the needs of the patrons participating in the batting cages and keeping the facility clean. Must be flexible with schedule. Opportunity for morning and afternoon hours during the summer, though weekend and evening hours will also be scheduled.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides excellent customer service. Responds to participants and general public using courteous and effective communication to provide information and resolve conflicts as necessary.
Checks in guests for appointments, assists in setting up machines for their needs.
Answers telephone calls on batting cages, provides general information regarding fees, hours, etc.
Some point of sale transactions.
Assist in maintenance or cleaning of the cages and surrounding area.
Ensures quality experience by enforcing facility program rules, regulations, and procedures.
Assists with ensuring the safety of participants.
Ensures facilities and equipment are left in a secure condition by closing and locking all doors. Also turns on/off lights, electrical as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must be able to move machines if needed.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, respond calmly and professionally to stressful or emergency situations.
Requires excellent public relation skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with various age groups.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to learn current policies and procedures.
Ability to effectively communicate with guests and pass along general information.
Must be flexible with schedule and willing to work evenings and weekends.
Ability to substitute for other team members when necessary and work special events.
Experience in telephone courtesy.
Cash handling experience preferred.
Equipment Used, Work Environment and Physical Activities:
Office equipment: Phone, Computer, iPad, Cash Register.
Computer programs: Google Docs, Google Sheets, Acuity Scheduling, Square Payments.
Other equipment: HitTrax Baseball & Softball Simulator, Batting Cage Machines, First Aid Supplies
Language Skills: Reads and understands instructions; writes legible work reports and notes; communicates information and responds to questions individually and in small groups.
Reasoning Ability: Applies common sense understanding to carry out simple written and oral instructions; deals with standardized situations or problems involving a few concrete variables.
Physical Activities: May include bending, sitting, squatting, walking, or standing. Assist participants with setup of workspace.
Lifting: Must be able to lift a maximum of up to 75 pounds.
Vision and Hearing: Must be able to read and give verbal instructions and respond to spoken communications.
