What is Bat Flip Baseball?

Bat Flip Baseball is an indoor batting cage facility for baseball and softball. Our batting cages are equipped with HitTrax baseball simulator to make the game fun and competitive for all ages and abilities. Test your skills in a Home Run Derby, compete in simulated games, or take your game to the next level through data-driven training.

What is HitTrax?

HitTrax is a baseball simulator and data capture system that creates a game-like experience in the batting cage. The system’s motion tracking cameras read the velocity and flight path of the ball as it is pitched or hit, and the results are displayed in real time on a connected TV screen. HitTrax measures key performance metrics and generates in-depth reports, allowing for pitch-by-pitch analysis, session summaries, and trend charting over any time period. Are the HitTrax batting cages open to the public?

Yes! We rent our HitTrax batting cages by the time. You can book a 30-minute, 60-minute, 90-minute, or 2-hour session on the Book Now page under the HitTrax Batting Cage Rental category. The rental includes bats, balls, pitching machines, and the HitTrax simulator. We do not have a coin-operated batting cage.

Do I need an appointment?

We encourage you to book an appointment in advance right here on our website. As a small facility, this is the best way to ensure you will get the time you need. Walk ins are welcome up to an hour before closing each day.

What should I bring?

We are stocked with everything you need to step in the cage and show off your bat flip, including bats and helmets in various sizes, but if you have your own gear we encourage you to bring it. We do not provide baseball gloves or batting gloves.

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes, we must have a completed waiver for each player before they can use the batting cage. Waivers for minors must be completed by the parent/guardian. Save time and complete it online before you come in. We keep these on file, so you only need to do it once.

Do you offer food or drinks?

Currently, we sell bottled water, Gatorade, and various candy bars at the front desk. You are welcome to bring your own snacks or BYOB. Contact us to discuss your private party or rental.

Do you have any age requirements?

We welcome all athletes from tee ball through adult leagues. With HitTrax, players of different ages can compete against one another! Minors age 15 and under must be accompanied by a parent or coach.

Do you offer private lessons?

Yes, we offer private lessons for hitting, pitching, and catching. See the Lessons page for more information.

Can I join a league?

Yes, we offer Indoor Hitting Leagues throughout fall and winter! See our Leagues page for more information.

Can I host my private party at Bat Flip Baseball?

Yes, we rent out the facility for private events - including team outing, work outings, bachelor parties, and birthday parties for all ages. Contact us at info@batflipcolumbus for more info.
